Deneen A. Connor was born in New York, New York. She graduated from Academy of Mt. St. Ursula High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Sullivan County Community College. Years later, Deneen returned to school and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Monroe College located in Bronx, New York. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society.
In High School, Deneen realized she had a way with words. She took pride in submitting written assignments. In 1998 Deneen started her first company, d'landa. d'landa used your words, feelings and emotions to create projects to reflect exactly what you wanted to say. In addition, d'landa used creativity and originality to make all projects a keepsake that would last a long time. Projects created by d'landa included; greeting cards, invitations, flyers, programs, and obituaries. Later on, photo montages on DVD for weddings, birthdays, memorials, and anniversaries were added to the list.
In 2009 Deneen began writing a story floating around in her head. 2010, she was pleased to add author to her long list of achievements. Her first novel, Tell Him opened the door to a world self-publishing. Deneen enjoys watching her words come to life to create interesting and entertaining stories. Two years later in 2012 Deneen released her second novel titled, Excuses. The following year, Deneen made her first appearance at The Harlem Book Fair. In 2014, she returned to the Harlem Book Fair eager to share her books with the thousands of avid readers. Deneen enjoyed meeting readers, fans as well as fellow authors. During the 2015 Harlem Book Fair, Deneen debuted her third novel, After The Wedding. In February 2016, Deneen released her fourth novel, Tell Him Too the sequel to Tell Him. Tell Her, Channing's Story made its debut at the 2016 Harlem Book Fair. Deneen is currently working on sixth novel, Another Wedding was released in the Fall of 2017 but why stop there, Deneen is working on developing screenplays for her novels Tell Him and Wedding Day as well as a web series.
